Use of Personal Information

We (hereinafter “Unirent”) understand and respect the importance of your (hereinafter “Client”, “Customer”) privacy. We collect and use your personal information only in accordance with this Privacy policy. Third party internet sites linked to our website (www.uni-rent.net) are not covered by our Privacy policy, therefore we accept no responsibility or liability for these sites.

The Client shares his personal information voluntarily, as part of the vehicle reservation process and communication related purposes and, in cases of Special Consent from the Client, for Unirent informative and marketing activities. Unirent is commited to protect the Client’s privacy and personal data and will not provide them to third parties without the Client’s explicit consent. The Client’s data is saved in our database.

Unirent is commited to protect the Client’s personal data by collecting only essential information about our clients/users required for the fulfillment of our services. We inform our clients about the way we collect information and grant them the possibility to choose whether they want to exclude their contact information from lists used for marketing purposes. 

All user information are treated confidently and are available only to the employees who need this information for providing our services. All employees of Unirent and its business partners are responsible for abiding the principles of confidentiality protection.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics gives a range of information including where people have clicked from to visit the site, what pages they landed on and visited, and what keywords they used to find the site.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”) and Alterian plc (“Alterian”) respectively. Each service uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. You can use Filters in Google Analytics to exclude your own IP address from the results.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Cookies

As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, we use cookies to store and sometimes track information about you. Cookies are small pieces of information (test files which websites use to identify its users) that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies can be deleted from your computer at any point via your Internet settings and cookie restrictions can be accessed via your Internet Browser settings. The use of cookies does not include the collection of any personal information regarding the use of your PC or internet browsing in any way. If you don’t accept cookies, some contents of our website might result unavailable or incomplete.

Newsletter

Unirent is allowed to use your contact information, such as your name and e-mail address, for sending newsletters containing information about Unirent’s services and special offers only in the case of the Client’s Special Consent which can be withdrawn at any time. Also, the Client reserves the right to decline the delivery of this type of e-mails at any time.

Updating Personal information

In case of change of personal details (e.g. address, postal code, phone number) or if the Client declines to use our service, there is the possibility of updating or removing any personal information from personal accounts. In order to do so, the Client has to access the “My Account” section and change his personal information, or send an e-mail to our address: uni-rent@uni-rent.hr.
