The City of Slavonski Brod, the seventh city in Republic of Croatia is situated between the rivers Sava and Dilja and surfaces 54,45 square kilometres. It is a very old settlement. 2000 years ago, the Roman Marsonia was on its place. The important geographical position significantly influences its development and economy.

In Brod, which was an important strategic and traffic center controlling the border crossing towards Turkey and connecting main commercial trails at the time, in the period between 1715-1780 Austria built the large imperial and royal border Fortress of Brod on the Sava River, which along with the fortified baroque towns of Slavonia, namely Osijek and Stara Gradiška, belongs to the great defense system on the border towards the Turkish Empire. Today the Fortress of Brod, world Heritage site and the unique and monumental example of the 18th century Slavonian military fortification architecture, belongs to the city of Slavonski Brod, decidedly initiating its revitalization.

The good ratings don't lie! I highly recommend Uni Rent if you want to rent a car in Split. There was no additional costs (I.e. for x-border or ferry, no mileage limits) and cheaper in compare with other rental companies I checked (the price with full insurance was the same as basic price in other companies). The car I chose was one of the cheapest. Outside it was looking quite good (few scratches only); the gear was a bit used but that's what you can expect.from the rental car; brakes were all good (and I had experience with much worse cars). Beware, there was a deposit taken around twice of the final price, but it was given back on the credit card after the car was returned.

Once you arrive in Split, you won’t need to look at any other company. In a sector full of fraud and scams, these are truly people who do their job with integrity. Before coming to Split, I had a lot of concerns about car rental, but thanks to Uni-Rent, I had a very smooth trip. Huge thanks to the entire team!

Uni Rent is wonderful! I have I used them multiple times. I respectfully disagree that all rental companies are the same. Some rental companies will try and upsell unnecessary services and or add fees. I have had the experience with a couple of different companies when picking up in Zagreb but never with Uni Rent.
