Split is the main urban, cultural and transport center of Dalmatia. It is a 1700 year old city and is included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites because of its numerous archaeological, historical and cultural monuments, especially Diocletian’s palace, which is the center of the city. It has all the attractiveness and wealth of a modern Mediterranean city and it lives in a slow rhythm which is very easy to get used to. The first citizen of Split was Emperor Diocletian who had the famous Diocletian’s palace built, by which we recognize the city today. Apart from the palace, there are also many other historical monuments in Split.

Split area is well known to the travelers as the ideal starting point for the Car rental in Croatia and route through the central Dalmatia.

The good ratings don't lie! I highly recommend Uni Rent if you want to rent a car in Split. There was no additional costs (I.e. for x-border or ferry, no mileage limits) and cheaper in compare with other rental companies I checked (the price with full insurance was the same as basic price in other companies). The car I chose was one of the cheapest. Outside it was looking quite good (few scratches only); the gear was a bit used but that's what you can expect.from the rental car; brakes were all good (and I had experience with much worse cars). Beware, there was a deposit taken around twice of the final price, but it was given back on the credit card after the car was returned.

Once you arrive in Split, you won’t need to look at any other company. In a sector full of fraud and scams, these are truly people who do their job with integrity. Before coming to Split, I had a lot of concerns about car rental, but thanks to Uni-Rent, I had a very smooth trip. Huge thanks to the entire team!

Uni Rent is wonderful! I have I used them multiple times. I respectfully disagree that all rental companies are the same. Some rental companies will try and upsell unnecessary services and or add fees. I have had the experience with a couple of different companies when picking up in Zagreb but never with Uni Rent.
